About
Here is some information about the volunteers who work for Earth Energies Group:
Paul SyrettPaul’s journey into the world of energy healing began in 2012 — a turning point that challenged everything he once believed about life, illness, and the unseen world. After a life-threatening health crisis in 2009 and years of physical limitation, a synchronistic encounter with a crystal healer sparked a profound awakening that changed the course of his life.
With a background in IT management, business transformation, and community leadership (as a school governor, parish councillor, and Round Table member), Paul had always led a full and structured life. But his illness opened a doorway into a deeper understanding of reality — one rooted in subtle energy, spirit communication, and healing beyond the physical. That journey began with a simple house clearing — something he attended just to support his wife. It led to a revelation: Paul was a natural healer. Encouraged by a meditation teacher who saw this in him from the outset, he was soon immersed in the world of energy medicine. Paul has since trained in several healing modalities, including Pranic Healing, Crystal Healing, and Geomancy. His work spans the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual realms — supporting individuals, communities, and even the land itself. Whether assisting spirits to pass over, clearing residual energy from places, or helping clients identify the hidden roots of their pain, Paul acts as a facilitator of transformation — empowering others to heal through deeper connection with the universe. His approach is grounded, intuitive, and highly personalised. Paul understands healing as a collaborative journey where the client does the inner work, and he serves as a guide and energetic bridge. 🌐 www.spiritman.me 📧 [email protected] |
Melanie LorienMelanie is a dedicated earth energy dowser and house healer, trained by respected practitioners Adrian Incledon-Webber and Tim Walter. She has also studied sacred home tending with Caitlín Matthews and Cait Brannigan, and is currently undertaking further training with Dawn Kirkham. Together with Dawn, she co-runs the International House Healers Network, supporting practitioners around the world.
Based in County Clare, Southern Ireland, Melanie is an active member of both the British Society of Dowsers and The Irish Diviners. Her lifelong relationship with the Earth is rooted in her background in horticulture, ecology, and conservation. She spent many years as a Woodland Conservation Ranger in Kent, where she formed deep connections with the ancient woodlands she cared for. This work awakened her sensitivity to the spirit of place, and led to many profound experiences with dryads, elementals, and nature spirits. Melanie brings a unique blend of practical and intuitive skills to her dowsing work, listening closely to the land to understand its energetic imbalances and support its healing. She is also a heritage straw worker, with over two decades of experience teaching traditional straw crafts through Ireland’s Heritage in Schools Scheme. A longstanding member of The Guild of Straw Craftsmen, Melanie has demonstrated at museums, libraries, heritage centres, and public events across Ireland. A lifelong animist and trained practitioner in the Western Mystery Tradition, she walks the path of a Pagan Ovate Druid with OBOD – The Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids. Melanie is also a professional Tarot reader and has communicated with spirit beings since childhood. |
Nigel TwinnNigel TwinnNigel has been involved in Earth Energy dowsing since the mid-1990s, originally drawn to leyhunting and soon inspired by the seminal work The Sun and the Serpent by Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurst. After being taught by West Country tutor Alan Neal, he became a founding member and lead coordinator of the Tamar Dowsers group in Cornwall from 2002 onwards.
He joined the Earth Energies Special Interest Group (EEG-SIG) upon becoming a member of the British Society of Dowsers (BSD) in 2000, attending his first EEG event a few years later in Cambridge. That weekend included presentations by key figures such as Billy Gawn and Grahame Gardner (later BSD President), and made a lasting impression. Nigel has served the dowsing community as a BSD Trustee (2010–2013) and received the Billy Gawn Award for Services to the EEG-SIG in 2014. He has given talks across the UK on Earth Energies and dowsing, and contributed to numerous articles in Dowsing Today. Alongside his speaking and research, Nigel is a co-author of six insightful books on dowsing, published by Penwith Press, including:

Chris TongeChris is one of the three founding members of the Earth Energies Zoom Group, which began in 2020 as a way to stay connected and explore dowsing during challenging times. He lives in the mill town of Darwen, Lancashire, and began his dowsing journey in 2012 with Manchester Dowsers. Today, he is an active member of Westmorland Dowsers.
His passion lies in dowsing the subtle features of the landscape — exploring how Earth Energies flow through sacred sites, natural spaces, and everyday places. Through this work, Chris seeks to understand how we can live more harmoniously with the Earth, minimising our impact while deepening our connection to place and spirit. Chris brings a balanced perspective to the Earth Energies conversation, honouring the value of science, dowsing, and spirituality — all held lightly, with curiosity and a sense of humour. For him, these threads together offer clues to one of life’s most enduring questions: why are we here? |
